Thank you very much to the many local parents and guardians who took the time to fill in my Childcare Survey.

The results showed that:

91% reported experiencing difficulties in accessing childcare.

Housing is in the news. The debate has been stimulated by a speech Michael Gove, Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (and who I am PPS to) gave last month.

I have promoted Pension Credit repeatedly to local pensioners since I was elected as it can provide a significant amount of additional money to those on the lowest incomes. It provides an extra £3,500 boost to low-income pensioners, but not all those who are eligible claim it.

I met with the Pensions Minister, Laura Trott, on behalf of the AEAT Pension Campaign.

Since I wrote my last article, I’ve run 2 events featuring government ministers for constituents: my 3rd annual Climate Summit and my first Farmers’ Forum.

Great to bring the Farming Minister, Mark Spencer, to meet farmers from across the constituency today at my Farmers' Forum.

We had a wide-ranging discussion about food production, farming incentives, the challenges for beef/pig/dairy/arable farmers, the environment and much more.

Health Questions - 11 July 2023

I am delighted that the Farming Minister, Mark Spencer, will be visiting the constituency next week to meet our local farmers.

I was very pleased to see the Government produce its NHS Long Term Workforce Plan last week.
