Delighted to see this announcement which will be welcome news to all of the veterans and member of the armed forces that I am proud to represent.
I take a personal interest in the armed forces as my dad was in the army for 18 years. Since being elected I have taken part in the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme; backed the Veterans Strategy; visited armed forces bases across the country; pushed Ministers to deliver the Nuclear Test Medal; backed our landmark support for Ukraine; met with the Veterans Minister to promote the Veterans Survey; helped local Ukrainian refugees and have regularly met with our local armed forces and represented their concerns.
I will always stand by our armed forces.
